A teacher who built pools in the summers
Brian Miller founded Hilltop in 1976. He was born in upstate New York, taught school, and built pools in the summers before opening the company in Jonesboro.
A Jonesboro pool builder, same name and same family since 1976
Hilltop Pools and Spas, Inc. builds residential and commercial concrete pools from its office at 9133 S Main Street in Jonesboro, Georgia. The company says it plainly: same name, same location and same family ownership. Here is where it started and what it has said about how it works.
1976
The year Hilltop opened in Jonesboro. The site puts it as nearly 50 years of custom pool design and construction for Georgia homeowners and businesses.
Run by Brian’s children
Hilltop is family owned, and it is run by Brian’s children. Customers who write about the company by name mention Matt for the consultation, and another reviewer credits Shane with taking responsibility on a heater fix.
The design visit is where a project begins: a free, no-obligation consultation, a designer on the property, and a property survey stamped and certified by a licensed surveyor.
Concrete pools, and nothing else
Speaking to PoolPro magazine in 2018, the company described itself as strictly a construction company, “100 percent focused on construction of both commercial and residential pools”. That is still how the work reads: pools, spas, patios, waterfalls and outdoor kitchens at home, and apartments, gyms, neighborhoods, condominiums and swim schools on the commercial side. Browse finished pools or read about residential concrete pools.
Credentials and continuing education
Hilltop has been BBB Accredited since 1982. The company has also described encouraging its staff to take APSP continuing-education programs. PoolPro described a showroom with tile and Pebble Tec at the Jonesboro address in 2018, and the office still takes calls Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
“Great experience working with Hilltop Pools from the day we discussed design through getting the permit closed.”
